Students in my band room have been using these materials daily, and this project has made it so families do not feel the burden of always having to buy reeds when their child needs a new one.\r\n\r\nWithout a reed, students who play clarinet, alto saxophone, bass clarinet, tenor saxophone, and baritone saxophone just wouldn't be able to play at all. It's how they make sound! Reeds only last a couple of weeks, so students consistently have to buy new ones. It can get to be really expensive. \r\n\r\nBand tends to cost families a lot of money. If I can do anything to relieve that burden just a little bit, I will. Due to your help, students who may not have been able to be in band because of their financial situation are now able to be in band and play the instrument that they want to.\r\n\r\nAs I am writing this in October, students in 6th grade band are just learning to play Mary had a little lamb.
