Your support has allowed many of my students that have limited verbal abilities or that are completely nonverbal, the ablility to enjoy books that they previously would have not had access to. My students especially love the seasonal books and are excited to be able to answer questions and participate in book activities the same as their nondisabled peers at the start of each new season or holiday.\r\n\r\nThese materials have allowed me to adapt these books by printing book companions that have pictures to go along with each page of the book. The velcro that you provided was used in the books, so that my students are able to pick the picture that matches the page or answer any comprehension questions about the book. The laminating sheets are priceless because they will ensure that these materials last for years to come. I have been able to laminate all the pictures and book companions for each of the books that you provided and it has been life changing for me and my students. \r\n\r\nThese materials are allowing students that previously were unable to participate in reading activities fully, the opportunity to do so. It is allowing my students to show the knowledge that they have effectively, in a different way. I am thankful for your donation and know that your kindness will impact the lives of many other students that I will share the magic of reading with for many years to come. I appreciate all that you have done to make this project amazing and create a reader in all learners with all kinds of abilities.","fullyFundedDate":1746479319727,"projectUrl":"project/communication-looks-different-for-everyo/8970528/","projectTitle":"Communication Looks Different for Everyone","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Heather Brown","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp87719_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1715017004525","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/87719"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_3659","usesÐǿմ«Ã½":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":436,"numTeachers":34,"percentFrplEligible":83,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":82,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":11,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"12.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":60.6,"schoolId":3659,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Mountain View Elementary School on @Ðǿմ«Ã½:","schoolName":"Mountain View Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/north-carolina/wilkes-county-school-district/mountain-view-elementary-school/3659"}
