We were able to create portfolios of our learning through the year for each child in the classroom that we will share with their families as we prepare for student led conferences in March. \r\n\r\nThe tape, card stock, and oil pastels have provided us opportunities to create art for our classroom and hallway that we are able to publish and share because of the tape. After listening to Wish Tree, we used the oil pastels and our list of words for 2026 to create a wish tree for our classroom. \r\n\r\nWe also used the card stock and oil pastels to create Pop Heart Art for our hallways leading to Valentine's Day. Celebrating the 100th day in Kindergarten is a milestone of our time together during the school year. We have been counting the days of school leading up to the 100th day since the very first day! Counting our days at school has helped us develop number sense, place value, and grow as mathematicians.\r\n\r\nWe got to celebrate by making a snack of 10 different items with 10 of each item. We counted 10 colors of tissue paper dots and used 10 different colors to create a gumball machine. Several students have gained more confidence in their reading skills and are even willing to read aloud to the group when before, they did not feel comfortable doing so.
