Your donation had an immediate and meaningful impact during a major transition in our school: the move to a no-cell phone environment.\r\n\r\nFor many of our students, particularly those in alternative, education-cell phones were more than a distraction. They were how students accessed music to self-regulate, listened to audio supports for learning, and stayed grounded during stressful moments. Removing phones without a replacement would have created an additional barrier for students already working hard to stay engaged in school.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, we were able to provide MP3 players as a healthy, school-appropriate alternative. This allowed students to: continue using music to manage anxiety and focus during independent work, access audio accommodations without relying on their phones, and adjust more smoothly to new expectations without feeling punished or disconnected. Several students shared that having an MP3 player helped them stay calm, remain present in class, and feel respected during a difficult change. \r\n\r\nWe are truly thankful for your support and belief in our students. Your generosity helped remove a potential barrier to learning and replaced it with a tool that fostered calm, focus, and confidence. This impact is felt every day in our classrooms, and we are grateful to share it with you.","fullyFundedDate":1760693771618,"projectUrl":"project/but-i-need-my-phone-easing-the-transiti/9685143/","projectTitle":"But I NEED My Phone! On behalf of myself and my GED students, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude for the brand-new supplies for our class. We've been sharing materials for so long that we hardly knew whose book was whose, and we were down to three calculators!\r\n\r\nWhen I handed each student their own brand-new materials, I saw the biggest smiles I've seen all year. And when I told them they could actually write in their books, they looked at me like I was joking—I had to say it more than once!\r\n\r\nHaving brand-new materials makes such a difference, not just in learning but in confidence and motivation.
