Most of my students come without any organizational skills. Having the students stay organized is very important. The students use their (pencil boxes) to store their (pencils, crayons and erasers) in one place.\r\nDuring the day, the students return to their cubbies to retrieve workbooks, folders and books that are held in their (cubby bins). These bins help keep the students' materials in one spot. My students have become aware that all their materials belong in a special spot to make it easier to perform their daily routines.\r\nAlso, the (Scholastic Weekly Reader Magazines) that you donated are used every Friday. The magazines expose my students to various topics around the globe which provide great conversations in my classroom. At this point in the year, my students are actually picking out words in the weekly readers and they are excited to be able to read these words. You have continually helped provide smiles on my students faces.
