Students coded the robots to move across maps they created, practicing cardinal directions while also developing problem-solving and coding skills. It was incredible to watch their thinking as they used trial and error to program their robots to reach the desired locations. Making learning hands-on and tangible truly deepened their understanding and engagement.\r\n\r\nMy students were thrilled just to see the robots move, but their favorite part was creating a celebration dance after successfully coding a path around their maps. This technology made learning accessible and empowering for all of my students, regardless of their level of cognition. The butter making had happened earlier in the day and they could not beleive that we actually did it. It was even better when they got to try it out on their cornbread.
