Your support has brought immense excitement to both students and teachers at our elementary school. As the display was being assembled, everyone eagerly anticipated the unveiling of the new counselor bulletin board. The feedback from students has been overwhelmingly positive; they can often be heard reading aloud the uplifting statements of kindness as they pass by. Students, seeing their work showcased proudly exclaimed, \"That one is mine!\" The timing of this display could not be more perfect, as February is our dedicated \"Kindness Month.\"\r\n\r\nIn addition to the new bulletin board, students have participated in guidance lessons and enjoyed \"Kindness Spirit Week,\" further reinforcing the theme of kindness. The bulletin board serves as an essential tool in extending the themes and topics explored during these lessons, providing our young learners with constant reminders throughout the day. This continuity is crucial for student development and social-emotional learning. Parents have even voiced appreciation and noted how meaningful conversations have resulted from the heightened awareness of the guidance content. This initiative has significantly contributed to our positive school community.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, the bulletin board and materials funded by our donors will be used to display information on Growth Mindset, Friendship, and Summer Safety. Then, as the new school year approaches, it will transform into a \"Back to School\" board that is bright and inviting for everyone.\r\n\r\nWe are so appreciative of your generosity and your understanding of how vital this project is for improving our community and inspiring the students, faculty, staff, and parents at Northbrook Elementary School. Your support plays a crucial role in fostering a positive and enriching environment for everyone involved.","fullyFundedDate":1762704774965,"projectUrl":"project/eye-and-heart-catching-display/9756657/","projectTitle":"Eye (and Heart) Catching Display","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Lowen","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10277997_orig.jpg?crop=674,674,x213,y250&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1759966418934","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10277997"},{"teacherId":9608065,"projectId":9592049,"letterContent":"My students are using the new materials for our classroom project \"How Does Energy Transfer by Waves?\" We explored how energy moves through different mediums using the clear trays to visualize wave motion. Students created ripple patterns in water to observe how waves transfer energy without transferring matter. The trays made it easy for them to see how the size and frequency of the waves changed with different inputs, making the concept much more engaging and hands-on.\r\n\r\nThey were so excited! Many of them immediately started predicting what would happen when we created waves in the trays. The hands-on nature of the materials grabbed their attention right away—they loved that they could see science in action instead of just reading about it. It sparked a lot of curiosity and conversation about waves in everyday life, from sound and light to ocean waves.\r\n\r\nNext, my students will apply what they learned by designing simple experiments to demonstrate different types of waves—transverse and longitudinal—and by exploring real-world applications of energy transfer. They'll also be creating short presentations to explain how wave energy can be used in technology and communication. These activities will help reinforce their understanding and connect classroom learning to the world around them.","fullyFundedDate":1757551078527,"projectUrl":"project/4th-grade-science-materials/9592049/","projectTitle":"4th Grade Science Materials","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Broussard","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9608065_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1753106176920","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9608065"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_95919","usesÐǿմ«Ã½":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":567,"numTeachers":42,"percentFrplEligible":79,"percentAsian":9,"percentBlack":33,"percentWhite":13,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":34,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"13.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":63.6,"schoolId":95919,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Northbrook Elementary School on @Ðǿմ«Ã½:","schoolName":"Northbrook Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/eagle-mountain-saginaw-ind-sch-dist/northbrook-elementary-school/95919"}
