This is where we gather for story time, and small-group math. The sensory fidgets are critical during independent work and even whole-group instruction to help students maintain focus, especially those who struggle with sitting still. The bright, new borders have framed our bulletin boards beautifully, making the room feel organized and welcoming, while the large digital clock is a game-changer for teaching time management and transitions; students now have a clear, easy-to-read reference that helps them track how much time they have left for an activity. Critically, the better than paper is now being used as a low-cost, dry-erase board, giving students a huge new surface for problem-solving.\r\n\r\nThe students' reaction when the materials first arrived was pure excitement. They were drawn immediately to the colorful rug and eagerly explored the different textures and shapes of the fidgets. Seeing their faces light up was a wonderful reminder of how much these simple tools can impact their learning environment.","fullyFundedDate":1754452997002,"projectUrl":"project/catching-feelings-learning-how-to-man/9529563/","projectTitle":"Catching Feelings (& Learning How to Manage Them)","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Lopez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10109387_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1754692105303","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10109387"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_9796","usesÐǿմ«Ã½":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":471,"numTeachers":39,"percentFrplEligible":57,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":8,"percentWhite":14,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":71,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"12.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":55.0,"schoolId":9796,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Clarence Galm Elementary School on @Ðǿմ«Ã½:","schoolName":"Clarence Galm Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/northside-independent-school-district/clarence-galm-elementary-school/9796"}
