The boys and girls are so excited about taking one of their favorite books home and being able to keep it as their own. Reading together also strengthens the bond between a child and caregiver. \r\n\r\nThe joyful expressions of each of my students as they carried their books home was a beautiful sight and so rewarding for me as the teacher. Reading to my class is, by far, one of may favorite times of the day. The glue sticks are used daily throughout the classroom from art projects to visual charts. On really hot days, rather than go to the playground, the students love using the new sidewalk chalk as we can find a shady spot under a tree to write and draw.\r\n The new books are wonderful additions to our classroom library. The children are also loving the Jumbo animal floor puzzle. Another favorite activity was using basters to transfer \"red\" water from one container to another, using the red food coloring you provided.\r\n As a teacher, I need fresh markers so the Sharpies and large markers are fabulous for all types of writing around the room. The laminating sheets have helped preserve activity sheets that can be used again and again.\r\n Each item you donated is well used and well loved.
