Students were able to learn about how to do simple coding by connecting the blocks to start the program and then add different blocks for the parts to do different actions. They configured the light patterns on the light component, creating rainbows. They added sound features like a barking dog, a mooing cow, and a meowing cat, too! \r\n\r\nTheir first project was creating a maze. They connected their Lego pieces to create a maze. They got to play with it by tilting the maze floor to move the red ball through the maze. They absolutely loved seeing the lights turn red and the sounds make noise! \r\n\r\nWe are going to do another project today. We hope that it will be something interesting like a vehicle that moves! We will share photos soon. The students were extremely excited to have the opportunity to try a new instrument! These instruments have provided students with an opportunity they may not experience outside of school. It is helping to grow into wonderful musicians!\r\n\r\nPlaying ukulele has given students the chance to perform in a group and individual setting. They been able to learn new musical skills such as reading music, writing music, and learn about chords and how songs are made. \r\n\r\nWe are currently working to have our first ukulele performance later this school.
