The books ordered were a wide variety of books that my students enjoy reading including graphic novels, picture books, non-fiction and chapter books. \r\nMy school has a dual language Spanish - English program for over 15 years. I am growing the Spanish and Bilingual books collection with newly published books and popular book series and characters.\r\nI have students who particularly love the Babysitters Club Graphic Novels and the Babysitters Little Sisters series. Those books are constantly checked out. Another book the students also love is the Official Coco Cookbook by Disney with recipes from Hispanic culture based on the movie Coco. I should get another copy because it's always checked out, too.\r\nThank you for giving the gift of reading to 520 students at my school. All students check out books every week and the library is heavily used. This week, my students used the new tissue paper to complete a fine motor art project. They ripped, rolled, and glued tiny pieces to create beautiful rainbow collages. Activities like this help strengthen their hand muscles for writing while giving them a chance to express themselves through art.\r\n\r\nYour support also helped us organize our learning space with new seat covers that neatly hold their whiteboards, workbooks, pencils, markers, and erasers. My students are so proud to have their own supplies in one place, and it has made transitions smoother and more independent.\r\n\r\nWe've begun using the magnets and Velcro dots for our daily learning targets and goal-setting charts, and the students love tracking their progress. The growth mindset posters you helped fund have already made a difference. I hear students refer back to them when facing academic and social challenges, reminding themselves to try again, stay positive, and believe in their abilities.\r\n\r\nThe beautiful classroom and hallway décor has transformed our learning space into a bright, vibrant, and happy environment. It truly feels like a place where students want to be. A place that celebrates their culture, their effort, and their potential.\r\n\r\nNone of this would have been possible without you. We have started building the missions for this year and have been able to save 10-15 minutes each practice so far because the table can stay set up. They even developed a list of things that helped them code more successfully like always starting their robot in the same spot, reading through their code, and making and testing one change at a time. \r\nThank you so much again for your generosity!
