The kids have been really having fun with the timing system. It makes those cold early mornings a little more fun and trivial. Being able to turn the running into a little competition and them seeing the immediate result has been a real fun addition to the workouts.\r\n\r\nThis group hadn't been able to run with a chute or use agility ladders in the past due to them just being too old. Watching them work through mastery has been a joy. I am also noticing the improvements to form as they repeat these drills. Again this is one of the biggest things this group needed to work on.\r\n\r\nUltimately, it has helped with some recruiting for upcoming seasons. Students saw me putting some things together in my classroom and asked what they were for. Having kids excited before the season starts is a shift from the past. The distance crew has mostly been students who wanted to sprint but realized distance is where they belong. Now we are getting students coming to be distance runners.","fullyFundedDate":1762358996146,"projectUrl":"project/building-back-cross-country-following-pa/9683242/","projectTitle":"Building Back Cross Country Following Pandemic","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Fagan","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5949913_orig.jpg?crop=1500,1500,x0,y355&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1749236269795","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5949913"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_36289","usesÐǿմ«Ã½":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1015,"numTeachers":60,"percentFrplEligible":68,"percentAsian":9,"percentBlack":8,"percentWhite":26,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":34,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"16.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":69.0,"schoolId":36289,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Franklin Pierce High School on @Ðǿմ«Ã½:","schoolName":"Franklin Pierce High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/washington/franklin-pierce-school-district-402/franklin-pierce-high-school/36289"}
