We have expanded more writing with various projects (example, If I found a pot of gold...First, next, and last). Students got to explain writing 1-2 sentences what they would do with a pot of gold. Some students had personal writing for car, house, toys, or candy. The writing project was good to observe their thoughts through writing. The students are more engaged about writing, too. They are enjoying math more adding and subtracting 3-digit numbers.
