As soon as we opened the rolling white board, we started using it during whole group lessons and sharing our thoughts in writing on the topic. The students loved that we could move it to different areas around the room to make our learning more feasable. Reading the books about traditions gave us so much inspiration and we wanted to learn more about different traditions around the world. \r\nI would have to say that the students favorite part was when they sang and used the instruments to play different songs. The decorating of their own personal mini maraca was a HIT! Each child created a template using paper on what design they would like to represent them or their culture and then transfered it to the mini maraca. They like that they have a choice as to which to use and it motivates them to stay on task. \r\nAn example of how the students used the boards today was taking notes on the different habitats. They were proud showing what they had written down and shared with their desk partners with smiles. They also used them in a 3 step project where they wrote notes on how they would create a crazy sweater for the holidays on the paddle boards, then used the LCD boards to draw it, and finalized it with a paper version of their sweater.
