They were so popular with the students, and many students would rush to these instruments every time we used them. Your impact cannot be overstated, especially in underfunded public schools. \r\n This is the first time our school has had a music program in over a decade, so there was much growth and opportunities waiting. Because of your generosity, we were able to feature a concert where students not just sang but had the opportunity to play as well. Some of the ways we used them was for exploring staff, learning the pentatonic scale, and creating soundscapes to portray stories. All of this would not be possible without these instruments. \r\n For next year, our district is adopting a new music curriculum. Xylophones are featured heavily in elementary school curriculums, so we are able to fully implement the curriculum for the students. Knowing these students not only had a great year of learning with these instruments, but will continue to learn and grow by using them is amazing. Your care and generosity will carry on for years to come, and I cannot wait for the future and the growing of our program!","fullyFundedDate":1741049383862,"projectUrl":"project/music-students-need-instruments/9008800/","projectTitle":"Music Students Need Instruments!","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Martin","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9734648_orig.jpg?crop=929,929,x0,y281&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1725656066036","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9734648"},{"teacherId":3538282,"projectId":8926221,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for the donations to this project. My students have benefited from it so much already! We have had freezing temperatures and it was so amazing to be able to provide each student with a hat and pair of gloves. They were able to play at recess and in the snow without being super cold.\r\nThe snacks were also a wonderful addition to our classroom. We are provided school snacks (fresh fruits and veggies) on Tuesday-Thursday and these snacks supplemented the other days.
