Specifically, when teaching fitness lessons I am able to have students identify muscles and bones engaged during certain exercise or movements. This has been a game changer for my kiddos, many of whom are identified with specials needs or as a multi-language learners. \r\n\r\nMy students were instantly interested in getting a closer look at the models and immediately starting becoming curious and asking questions about all the different bones of the body. One student even asked about the tail-bone, and I was able to explain we have a tail-bone because millions of years ago, humans used to have tails! \r\n\r\nMy next steps are to continue teaching specifics about the human body as we are learning about motor patterns and skills related to exercise and sports. On days where I am running a stations lesson, I plan to use the model at a station to have students analyze the figures and further investigate bones and muscles more closely. My students also love when I dress the skeleton up for holidays and special themes! I also am currently having a contest where students vote for what to name our class skeleton. So far the names to choose between are: Skelly, Lil Tim-bob, Lil Timmy, and Sammy. After the winter break we will finish the contest!\r\n\r\nThank you again for your donations and you support of my physical education program!","fullyFundedDate":1758194549052,"projectUrl":"project/from-bones-to-brilliance-and-muscles-in/9598530/","projectTitle":"From Bones to Brilliance and Muscles in Motion!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Rinas","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9689907_orig.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1757085825392","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9689907"},{"teacherId":6245549,"projectId":9802684,"letterContent":"These materials have been an amazing and essential addition to my classroom.
