I was able to refresh my library by replacing the well loved books. The used books actually went home to students so they are getting used again! Due to your generosity, I was also able to add new very popular series books to my library. The students squealed as I opened the boxes with them. I would say the books are looking great in my classroom library, but they are already in the hands of kids and in their book bins being read.\r\n\r\nI love getting series books. They have such an impact on students learning. Series books builds reading confidence. Since the books are predictable with the same characters, similar structure and familiar writing style, students feel more comfortable and capable as they move from one book to the next. A good series will also encourage reading consistency. Students want to know what happens next, which turns reading more into a habit rather than a task. With consistency, students are able to strengthen fluency, vocabulary and comprehension over time. What is also very important to note is that our students who are reluctant to read, always get hooked on a series book. \r\n\r\nOverall, thanks to you, our new series books will act as a gateway to lifelong reading. It will make reading feel manageable, enjoyable and rewarding- which is exactly what my students need at this time. \r\n\r\nThank you!!","fullyFundedDate":1773880656212,"projectUrl":"project/books-books-books/10140356/","projectTitle":"Books!
