R. Bruce Wagner first graders would like to say \"THANK-YOU\"! The math resources you provided have been a wonderful extension on teaching students different strategies for solving math problems. First graders are just beginning to understand the concepts of adding and subtraction using different methods of solving the same problem. The \"Number of the Day\" magnet poster gives all my students a chance to interact with a partner discussion what method they used to solve the problem. As a teacher, I get busy with other students, learning other concepts. This teaches teamwork and allows for students to understand we all learn using different methods. \r\n\r\nOur dry erase boards, allow for quick reteaching. The students love to use them, and they keep \"all students' engaged at their level of addition and subtraction. The materials are teaching them how to use related math facts to solve for the unknown number.","fullyFundedDate":1757513248256,"projectUrl":"project/building-problem-solvers/9449734/","projectTitle":"\"Building Problem Solvers\"","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Gilliam","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp1549792_orig.jpg?crop=2544,2544,x0,y424&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1715168295543","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/1549792"},{"teacherId":6590096,"projectId":9540608,"letterContent":"I wanted to take a moment to say thank you for your generous support towards my classroom. Students are responsible for unpacking in the morning and using a checklist to put certain materials in their bin for the day. They carry these bins between classes. Some of my ESE students with disabilities will carry these to other classrooms on campus and it helps them stay organized with what needs to go with them to their other teachers outside of the general education classroom.
