Through an informative presentation, families gained clarity on what the assessments measure, why they are important, and how they can support their keiki in the days leading up to testing. This helped build confidence not only in students, but also in families as active partners in the learning process.\r\n\r\nThe evening also emphasized social-emotional support and practical strategies for success. Families participated in hands-on activities focused on calming techniques, such as mindful breathing and creating fidgets to support focus. They also created take-home materials with helpful reminders and strategies, making it easier to reinforce positive habits at home. These interactive experiences empowered families with simple, effective tools to reduce test anxiety and promote a calm, prepared mindset.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, families engaged in a practice testing experience and collaborated on creating encouraging posters with positive messages for students. This fostered a sense of community and shared responsibility, showing students that they are supported both at school and at home. While many families use technology at home, the way we use it in the classroom is very intentional and focused on learning, engagement, and independence. This technology allows students to practice skills at their own pace, receive immediate feedback, and access lessons in ways that match their individual learning needs. For some students, it provides visual supports, interactive activities, and alternative ways to communicate or show what they know—things that simply weren't possible before.\r\n\r\nWhat excites students most about this new product is how engaging and interactive it is. Learning feels more hands-on and motivating. Students are eager to participate, take turns, and explore lessons because the technology makes learning feel achievable and fun rather than frustrating. We've seen increased focus, persistence, and confidence as students realize they can succeed.\r\n\r\nSeveral students, especially those who struggle with attention, communication, or independence, have shown incredible growth with this new technology. One student who often avoided tasks is now eager to begin lessons on their own. Another student who needs extra structure benefits from the clear visuals and predictable routines the technology provides. These tools are helping students feel successful, capable, and proud of their progress.\r\n\r\nYour donation didn't just provide equipment—it opened doors for our students to learn in ways that truly meet their needs.
