These games have been amazing for more things than I originally planned!\r\n\r\nFirst, I thought I would only use them with my EL students on game days to practice problem-solving, planning, and communication skills. For all of those goals, they have been amazing. My EL students are discussing strategy, helping their peers create action steps, and communicating with each other without the pressure of a practice script or required words. Using language naturally is an end goal in my program, and it has been rewarding to watch my students communicate their ideas.\r\n\r\nNow, I am doubly grateful to have these games during the winter months. In addition to teaching EL, I am an indoor recess teacher in our school. That means that when we can't have outdoor recess, due to the weather, I am in charge of a class during recess. With these games, there is no shortage of fun or engaging activities for the kids to do during indoor recess.
