If a student's body isn't calm, their mind isn't ready to grow. Because of your generosity, our students now have a \"sensory toolbox\" that they use every single day to find that balance.\r\nYour gift has provided incredible tools that help our students stay regulated:\r\n• Mindful Breathing: The light-up koalas have been a favorite! They don't just sit there; they provide a visual guide that helps students sync their breathing with the light. It is a beautiful way to help them find their calm when they feel overwhelmed.\r\n• Deep Pressure Support: The weighted blanket and the Lakeshore weighted book provide the essential grounding our students need to feel secure and focused during seated activities or quiet moments.\r\n• Tactile & Visual Focus: The fidget tubes give our students a way to channel their energy and find focus, helping them stay present and engaged in the lesson.\r\n• Emotional Literacy: The Little Spot books are helping our students put names to their \"big feelings.\" They are becoming so much more in tune with their emotions and are starting to use the language from these stories to talk through their day.\r\nTruly, all of this is such a blessing. Seeing a student recognize they are frustrated and independently grab a fidget tube or a light-up koala to regulate themselves is a huge victory. We are so thankful for the lasting impact you have made on our classroom and our students' well-being!","fullyFundedDate":1768868512646,"projectUrl":"project/little-minds-big-needs-sensorysel-mat/9759732/","projectTitle":"Little Minds, Big Needs: Sensory/SEL Materials for Early Learners","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Hannah","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10059691_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1759081871771","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10059691"},{"teacherId":10265121,"projectId":10043691,"letterContent":"I've already noticed such a difference during math instructional time — the children have more energy and focus at the end of the day because of these snacks! They have truly benefited our classroom. If a child arrives late and misses breakfast, I'm now able to make sure they still have something to eat. I am incredibly grateful for this blessing for our kindergarten students.\r\n\r\nThe idea for the snack cart actually came from a teacher friend I worked with for several years. We talked at length about food insecurity — especially in this current economy — and how some of our youngest students were saving portions of their lunches to take home to their families. Food bags sent home for weekends were already being asked about mid-week. I wanted to help, but I didn't know where to start... until this fundraiser. Because of your support, it became possible.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has allowed me to provide snacks I otherwise could not have afforded, and the children are truly thankful. Every day they remind me when it's snack time — their excitement is contagious! During indoor recess, they line up at the small group table to choose a snack, and once the weather improves, they'll be able to grab one before outdoor recess.\r\n\r\nI love stocking the snack cart, and the children love it just as much. Thank you for helping me make a real difference for these kids — your kindness is felt in our classroom every single day.","fullyFundedDate":1770394251435,"projectUrl":"project/healthy-snacks-for-kindergartners-at-tit/10043691/","projectTitle":"Healthy Snacks for Kindergartners at Title I School","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Paula","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10265121_orig.jpg?crop=1151,1152,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1768908182594","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10265121"},{"teacherId":9904934,"projectId":9075635,"letterContent":"I want to thank you so much for your donation. Classroom storage and organization most often comes out of the teachers' pockets, and that just isn't always possible for us! Our students deserve clean and organized spaces for their belongings. Thanks to your donations, my preschool students were able to begin to learn foundational executive functioning skills that will stick with them forever. My students were so excited to see their boxes with their names. They were excited to place their art work, belongings, and assistive devices in their own box. This helped myself and support staff in the room to stay organized as well.
