Many of my students rely on school-issued Chromebooks for nearly all of their academic work, both in class and at home. For students from low-income households, replacing a lost or broken charger is often not financially possible. Before this project, that meant some students were unable to complete online assignments simply because their device could not hold a charge. Having a dedicated charging station at each table ensures that students always have access to power and can fully participate in class every day.\r\n\r\nThe most exciting part for students has been the consistency and independence these charging stations provide. Instead of worrying about conserving battery life or asking to borrow a charger, students can focus on learning. The cord covers have also made a noticeable difference by keeping our classroom safer and more organized, allowing students to move freely without tripping hazards or tangled cords.\r\n\r\nThis project has especially supported students who previously struggled to stay on top of assignments due to device issues beyond their control. With reliable access to charging throughout the day, students are more confident, prepared, and engaged. One group of students used the bowler hats for their piece \"Nowadays & Hot Honey Rag\" taken from the musical Chicago. They had to learn how to dance with the hats as a prop. They learned how and when to take it off, put it on, etc. This was their main prop. The hats also added to their costume. \r\n\r\nThe other class had suspenders and bow ties which added to their costumes as they were reporters in the dance piece \"They Both Reached for the Gun\".
