These tools have already made a meaningful impact on my students' learning and curiosity. Having access to real scientific equipment allows students to move beyond textbooks and truly experience science as scientists do: observing, questioning, and discovering the world at a deeper level.\r\n\r\nI also want to express my sincere appreciation for the opportunity to tour GM. The experience was incredible, and it meant so much to me to see where innovation happens and to meet the people who made this donation possible. Connecting the microscopes in our classroom to real people and real careers helped students understand that science, engineering, and problem-solving are alive and happening in our own community.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has not only enhanced our curriculum but has inspired my students to see themselves as capable scientists and future innovators. With the added emotion cards that are over there, they are able to sit and focus on how they feel and what they need in the future. \r\nThey are able to more independently regulate, without the help of a teacher, with tools.","fullyFundedDate":1746480029568,"projectUrl":"project/help-us-build-an-emotional-regulation-sp/9274933/","projectTitle":"Help Us Build an Emotional Regulation Space!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Katie","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9937723_orig.jpg?crop=600,600,x222,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1741361634932","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9937723"},{"teacherId":2656551,"projectId":9583841,"letterContent":"The rug and floor pillows were an immediate hit in my classroom! When added to the lamps and fairy lights that I already had, this alternative seating arrangement has had a big impact on creating a classroom that allows students to feel more comfortable. The most impact this donation made was for attendance. With the hand sanitizer, I've recorded a decrease in absences due to illness. I, myself have not been sick this school year as well. I'm sure the ability to clean our hands when we can't get to soap and water is contributing. \r\n\r\nMy students also love having the job as the \"sanitizer\", before we touch equipment, this person distributes a pump of hand sanitizer to each person in the class.
