They are entranced by the colors, fit, and responsibility of caring for their own materials. Having headphones allows them to access programs when needed and hear clearly what is being taught. They also minimize distractions from other learners around them. \r\n\r\nFirst grade students did not have 1:1 access to headphones in Kindergarten. This feels to them like a new profound responsibility along with being given a Chromebook.
