Because of you, my students now have access to essential supplies and engaging learning tools that we use every single day.\r\n\r\nWe have already begun using the materials in meaningful ways throughout our classroom. The copy paper and laminating sheets have allowed me to create durable, reusable learning activities for centers, including literacy games, tracing mats, and math practice boards. During small group instruction, students use dry erase markers on these laminated activities to practice writing letters, numbers, and solving problems, which has made learning much more interactive and hands-on. The crayons, pencils, and construction paper have also been used during our writing and art activities, where students express their ideas and creativity.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the new materials, they were beyond excited. Their faces lit up with joy, especially when they saw the headphones, whisper phones, and new art supplies. They were eager to jump right in and start using everything. It created such a positive and motivating environment, and students felt proud and special knowing these materials were just for them.\r\n\r\nAs we continue learning, these resources will play an important role in our next steps. We will use the headphones to support independent learning during technology time, helping students build listening and comprehension skills. The reusable laminated materials will continue to support our literacy and math centers, allowing students to practice and apply new skills daily. We are also working on strengthening collaboration and communication, so many of these tools will be used during partner work and small group activities.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has truly made a difference in our classroom. In January, I set out to create a space where fourth and fifth-grade girls could find and build their voices. And thanks to your generosity, the vision became a reality.\r\n\r\nHere's one moment that captures the impact of your gift: during our fifth session, we were sharing what we liked about ourselves. Ten-year-old Jessa said she couldn't think of anything. It wasn't that she disliked herself; she just couldn't think of anything she specifically liked. Then, without prompting from me, the other girls started shouting out some of Jessa's best qualities. Did I teach these other girls to be kind and supportive? No. But your donations gave them - and Jessa - the space to practice and realize it.\r\n\r\nThanks to your donations, every girl in the club received her own gratitude journal and a small set of worry dolls. Each girl also got to use high-quality art supplies to create projects like friendship bracelets, affirmation rocks, letters to herself, and others.\r\n\r\nThe world can be a heavy place for young women but thanks to your donation, girls like Jessa got to feel stronger and more optimistic. One student in particular, who often struggles with sensory overload, has found great comfort in using the headphones to stay \"in the zone\" during independent work time.\r\n\r\nOur daily workflow has also improved significantly thanks to the anchor chart paper, lined paper, and whiteboard markers. The ability to quickly try, erase, and try again gave them the freedom to take risks without fear of making mistakes.\r\n\r\nThe clipboards, in particular, have been a favorite because they allow us to move around the room and even work outside the classroom.
