The new resources you provided are already helping my students stay engaged, focused, and confident in their learning.\r\n\r\nOne special moment I'd love to share happened during a recent lesson when students used the new materials to organize their ideas and work through a collaborative activity. I watched as they supported one another, shared their thinking, and celebrated small wins together. It was a powerful reminder that learning becomes even more meaningful when students have the right tools to express themselves and explore new concepts.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, their excitement filled the room. Their faces lit up as they realized these tools were just for them—to help them grow, learn, and succeed. Several students immediately asked when they could start using them, and that enthusiasm has carried into our daily lessons.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we are continuing to build on our current classroom projects by strengthening skills like reading comprehension, writing, and critical thinking. These resources will play a key role as students move into more independent work, group discussions, and creative projects that allow them to apply what they've learned in meaningful ways.\r\n\r\nThank you for giving us a peek into what's possible when a community comes together to support education. Your kindness and belief in my students mean more than words can express.","fullyFundedDate":1768192167391,"projectUrl":"project/tools-for-confident-curious-learners/10007906/","projectTitle":"Tools for Confident, Curious Learners","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Ciotti","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9620561_orig.jpg?crop=2252,2252,x0,y367&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1768088596688","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9620561"},{"teacherId":9361789,"projectId":9990554,"letterContent":"The arrival of our sensory and communication tools has transformed our classroom into a hive of purposeful activity. When my students first saw the vibrant Kidfetti pellets and the various \"Explore Boards,\" their faces lit up with curiosity. One of the most impactful moments occurred during our morning center time: a student who typically struggles to engage with peers spent twenty minutes at the sensory bin, using the new sand and pellets to practice \"give and take\" play with a classmate. The vibrating jellyfish and chewy necklaces have also become essential \"safety nets,\" providing the immediate sensory input my students need to regulate their bodies so they can focus on their lessons rather than feeling overwhelmed.\r\n\r\nWe are specifically finding that the communication cards and AAC tools are life-changing during transitions and our time spent outside the classroom. Transitions can be the most challenging part of the day for a child with autism, but having portable visuals allows my students to see exactly what is coming next, which lowers their anxiety. When we leave the familiar four walls of our room to head to the playground or the cafeteria, these cards and talkers go with us. They provide a portable \"voice\" that allows my students to communicate their needs and feelings in loud or busy environments. Whether they are asking for a turn on the slide or telling a teacher they need a break, these resources ensure they are heard no matter where they are.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has truly given these incredible children a voice and the confidence to explore their entire school community. We are so excited to continue using these tools to turn every \"first\" into a permanent victory. This year I have students diagnosed with autism, health impairment, explosive disorders, ADD, and ADHD. Having various sensory items to help with the needs of my students is essential. The fidgets are a huge hit and the putty was a great help too! The communication cards I've used on a daily basis and help with my non verbal student.
