They love working with the different materials. Their favorite donations are the metallic markers and paints as well as all the glitter supplies. Everyone is excited to add pizzazz to their work!\r\n\r\nThe students used the Sharpie markers, glitter, metallic and acrylic paint pens to create\r\ngeometric line designs modeled after Piet Mondrian's Composition in Red, Yellow, Blue\r\nand Black. They did this work during our math geometry unit. The metallic markers were a big hit but they also had to balance color and design by using the acrylic markers and Sharpies. It was important to create a multimedia piece of art.\r\n\r\nMany students have asked where the supplies were purchased so they can acquire the\r\nmaterials for home use. It is so exciting to see the students engaged in the lessons and\r\nwant to continue the art practices and techniques with their families.\r\n\r\nEvery Monday the big question is, \"What art supplies are we using this week?\" The\r\nsupplies you so generously provided sit on our classroom counter.\r\n\r\nWithout your generous donation this exposure of art materials, artists and techniques\r\nmay have never happened. Then they added fine lines then dots to feather out the trees. They finished with using the tips to add the stars. We were working on forest habitats.
