This is one of the most difficult instruments to repair on the spot and I have had multiple students doing their best with sub-par instruments.\r\nThe new flute went to a 5th grader that had a flute that required a very specific amount of pressure to be applied to make the instrument work. Now, she is able to play all the notes on her flute without white-knuckling her instrument! Every lesson with these incredible students I am adding oil, doing minor repairs, and making sure their current instruments are in working order. \r\nThe new trumpet went to a 5th grader who has struggled with feeling successful in a variety of areas, including music. When he received the new trumpet - that works simply by doing all the same things he was before - the smile on his face was incandescent. He has made so much progress in just two weeks of having a fully functional instrument.
