The books arrived, and my students volunteered to help enter the titles into our library catalog. A group even stayed after school to help organize them in our classroom library. This lucky group of students was among the first to choose from our abundant library.\r\n\r\nWe established a routine of independent reading in the classroom. A few students were eager to sign out the books to take home to read while many others simply enjoyed finishing their classwork early so they could pick out a book to read in our reading nook. \r\n\r\nIt truly warmed my heart each time a student was able to find a title that piqued their curiosity and asked if they could read this or that book.
