This project has truly expanded what learning looks like in our classroom by giving students access to engaging, hands-on STEM resources. Using the magnetic building tiles, STEM kits, and animal materials, students have been able to take their learning further by exploring animal adaptations, environmental challenges, and engineering design in a meaningful way. During a recent activity, students worked collaboratively to design and build animal habitats that could survive extreme environments. This required them to think critically, test ideas, and revise their designs—mirroring real-world scientific practices.\r\n\r\nThe response from students was immediate and powerful. When the materials arrived, excitement filled the room, and students were eager to begin exploring. These resources have especially helped engage students who may not typically thrive in traditional learning settings. By providing interactive, hands-on opportunities, the \"Make It More\" project has allowed all learners to participate more fully and confidently.\r\n\r\nAs we continue, students will \"make it more\" by extending their learning into more complex design challenges that connect animal structures and functions with engineering concepts. They will apply what they've learned to create, test, and improve their ideas, building both knowledge and confidence along the way. Your support has made it possible to create a classroom environment where students go beyond basic understanding and truly experience learning. These new books have introduced not only fascinating prehistoric facts, but also important reading skills. Students are practicing strategies such as comparing texts, drawing conclusions, and making inferences about how dinosaurs lived and why they disappeared. They're also learning to connect nonfiction details to their own creative writing and class discussions, which deepens comprehension and sparks curiosity.\r\n\r\nReading in our classroom now looks like students huddled together, pointing to illustrations, and eagerly sharing \"Did you know?\" facts. The dinosaur books have become a favorite choice during independent reading, and I often see them being checked out for home reading as well. One student who was reluctant to pick up a book before now races to grab the biggest dinosaur text on the shelf, carefully studying the diagrams and then proudly sharing what he's learned with his peers. Another student loves reading aloud from these texts, practicing fluency and expression with the excitement only dinosaurs can inspire.\r\n\r\nYour support has transformed reading from an assignment into an adventure.
