Oregon Battle of the Books is a statewide reading motivation and comprehension program sponsored by the Oregon Association of School Libraries.\r\n\r\nThanks to your support, every student in my classroom had access to these high-quality books representing diverse genres, voices, and perspectives. Instead of waiting for limited copies or sharing texts, students were able to fully immerse themselves in reading, discussing, annotating, and preparing for battle with confidence.\r\n\r\nOBOB proved to be far more than a trivia competition — it became a powerful team-building experience that strengthened cooperation, accountability, and a shared love of reading. I had four classroom teams competing, and two advanced all the way to the semi-final rounds — an accomplishment they were incredibly proud of! While only one team could move forward, every student grew as a reader and teammate. Your donation fostered deeper reading comprehension, critical thinking, and respectful collaboration. Most importantly, it helped students see themselves as capable, motivated readers. Thank you for investing in their growth, perseverance, and joy in learning.","fullyFundedDate":1768448231619,"projectUrl":"project/building-readers-through-oregon-battle-o/10008724/","projectTitle":"Building Readers Through Oregon Battle of the Books","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Vallance","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9881350"},{"teacherId":4941148,"projectId":8792288,"letterContent":"My students are thrilled to use the STEM kits, they're always asking to use them! These kits have also helped me learn more about my students' unique interests and strengths. Even students who only join my class for a short time are excited to dive into these STEM sets.
