These positions are critical on the field and require specialized gloves, and without them, it can be difficult for players to fully participate and develop their skills. Now, these athletes are able to practice daily with the proper equipment, gaining the repetitions and confidence they need to improve. During our recent defensive drills, it was incredible to see both players fully engaged, working on receiving throws, footwork around the bag, and communication with teammates.\r\n\r\nWhen the players received their mitts, their excitement and gratitude were clear. There's something powerful about having equipment of your own — it builds pride, responsibility, and belief in yourself. Instead of feeling limited or different, they now feel prepared and valued as important members of our team. Their teammates were also supportive, which strengthened our team culture even more.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, we will continue focusing on defensive fundamentals and situational play. Having the proper mitts allows us to run more efficient infield drills and game-speed scenarios, helping all of our athletes grow. Now, our athletes can consistently work on hitting fundamentals by using the tees to drive balls into the net during practice.\r\n\r\nWhen the new tees arrived, the excitement was immediate. Players were eager to set them up and get to work on their swings. For many of them, it felt like a fresh start—an opportunity to truly focus on mechanics, hand placement, and contact point.
