My students and I have truly loved the freedom that these simple clipboards have given us. They no longer feel stuck at their desks while working, and they've really enjoyed being able to gather in small groups without the hassle of moving desks around.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the clipboards, their immediate question was, \"Did you get these for us?\" I told them that I didn't, but that some very kind people chose our class to receive them. They were so excited to know that you could have chosen any class, and we feel incredibly lucky that you chose ours.\r\n\r\nAs I plan lessons now, I intentionally include more opportunities for small group work around the classroom because we have these clipboards as a resource. My students were so excited! There were so many items students were very excited to see. They first were very excited to finally get a pink crayon. They only get the 8-pack which does not contain a pink! They have been so excited to color adding a new color to their crayon box. The students have also loved the math manipulatives. They have loved getting to learn using their senses. The nuts create a challenge, but a great reward when they get it correct. \r\n\r\nThey have also enjoyed the pleasure of counting with the pom poms and using the tweezers to count and collect them. We cannot wait to dive into our science unit and get to use a microscope to help us learn. For most of my class, they are used as a reward, but I have a couple of students who truly benefit from using a wiggle chair.
