I have a couple of students that have needed base ten blocks the whole year to visualize all concepts. We have an awkward tile area in my classroom that prevents me from having as many small group spaces as I need. This project will allow me to make use of this space. The ParaEducator that helps me during small group reading time will now be able to use that area instead of having to take the students to a different room. Having them in the same classroom will allow them more time for small group. I was able to fill my shelves with the paper needed to get through the rest of the year. My students have loved having plants in the classroom. We have been able to incorporate this into our Science lessons about life cycles and adaptations. Students have become responsible for the plants and make sure that we have the proper care they need. \r\nThe students have loved the Fairy Garden in our classroom. They love the fairy lights and feel like it is a treat when we turn them on. It is a fun little addition to our classroom. The students were so excited to have clipboards that double as whiteboards. They have helped the students stay more organized with work that they need to complete throughout the day. \r\nIt is necessary to replace these every couple of years because of the amount we use them for quick checks. Having clipboards attached to the whiteboards has allowed me to take the separate clipboards out of their desks.
