Working as a school-based occupational therapist, direct therapy time is only one small piece of the puzzle. Equally important, or maybe even more important, is connecting my students to the strategies and tools that will help them succeed outside of my OT room—in their classrooms and beyond. \r\nYour donations helped me connect students with adaptive tools they can use across the school day, and I am already seeing the impact. The slant boards are helping to facilitate more functional wrist extension for better fine motor control during writing, improving posture for reduced fatigue, and benefiting students with visual-perceptual challenges by raising text-based materials closer to their line of sight. The adaptive pencils are encouraging functional grasp patterns that will result in better efficiency, precision, and endurance for writing tasks. The weighted pencil grips are helping my students who have difficulty using enough force to produce visible handwriting. The adaptive scissors are allowing students to become more independent during school-based activities involving cutting tasks. Best of all, having access to these tools in the classroom makes it possible for these students to practice building their skills in their everyday learning environment alongside their peers. \r\nSo thank you again for investing in this project. Your generosity is making a meaningful difference not just through access to materials, but by creating opportunities for my students to have greater independence, confidence, and participation in their daily school experiences.","fullyFundedDate":1770006523995,"projectUrl":"project/learning-without-limits-inclusive-tools/10075688/","projectTitle":"Learning Without Limits: Inclusive Tools for Every Learner","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. G","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10425661_orig.jpg?crop=2620,2620,x26,y149&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1769897469779","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10425661"},{"teacherId":10199098,"projectId":9631670,"letterContent":"On behalf of our classroom, thank you so much for your incredibly generous donation of the writing tablets. These tools have completely transformed our math block by allowing our students to bridge the gap between digital learning and vital hand-to-brain processing. With the tablets and the Magma Math software, students are no longer just selecting answers; they are actively sketching out arrays, number lines, and area models. This tactile experience has significantly reduced the frustration of \"typing\" math, giving them the freedom to express their logic and creative problem-solving strategies with ease.\r\n\r\nThe impact on student engagement and academic growth has been nothing short of remarkable. We have seen a tangible increase in math scores as students take greater ownership of their work, but the most inspiring change is the newfound spirit of collaboration. Because their work is visible and easy to share, students are now working together to compare strategies and explain their reasoning to one another. Your gift has provided more than just technology—it has built a classroom culture where students are excited to dive into complex problems, and we are so grateful for your \r\ninvestment in their success.","fullyFundedDate":1760121067616,"projectUrl":"project/show-your-work-interactive-math-tablet/9631670/","projectTitle":"“Show Your Work: Interactive Math Tablets for Every Student”","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Abreu","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10199098"},{"teacherId":9911598,"projectId":9087069,"letterContent":"Thank you again for your generous donation of the rolling cart and book bins to our classroom!
