They have been a game changer!! These instruments are so innovative- almost every single one of my students was able to get a sound out of them- and in several of my classes we had 100% participation which is not the norm! They were able to hold them (the size of these are ideal for small hands) and squeeze them simultaneously which is amazing in and of itself. My students all carry a diagnosis of Autism and have lots of sensory needs. This project has helped support those needs. My students love being able to take sensory breaks and use the various kinetic sand boxes and squishy blocks. The other favorite is the vibrating giant tactile cuddle bug. This items along with all the others have helped to calm students when they are overwhelmed and overstimulated.
