This project has given my students so mch joy. They are learning to be creative, imaginitive, daring, persistent, and inventive. They are learning how to work through struggles, change their original ideas to adjust, and use critical thinking skills that our young learners need in order to be successful in the future. \r\n The materials are set out during center time for students to explore. When I first put them out the kids were so excited, but were not exactly sure on what they could do with them. During one of our first days I showed them a few options on how to use them. At first, the students copied my ideas, but it didn't take long for a couple of kids to come up with their own ideas. Soon we had towers, race tracks, houses, ramps, and all sort of creations. It was so fun to watch their imaginations bloom. \r\n This was the first step to opening up imagination. Through STEM my students are learning to branch out and try new ideas without the fear of failure. They are learning that failure is not bad, it just means you learned how something does NOT work. Now you can try another way. We will continue to add new materials to our STEM library to enhance the learning experience.","fullyFundedDate":1768094371908,"projectUrl":"project/building-creative-thinkers/9992715/","projectTitle":"Building Creative Thinkers","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Gonzales","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9348964"},{"teacherId":1142481,"projectId":10013096,"letterContent":"This project has had an immediate and meaningful impact on my students' learning. The technology we received—particularly the classroom printer. What excites students most is seeing learning come to life through hands-on, personalized activities. They are eager to work with freshly printed games, books, and practice pages that feel \"made just for them.\" For kindergarteners, this sense of ownership is powerful; it increases engagement, focus, and motivation, especially during literacy and math centers.\r\n\r\nSeveral students have especially benefited from this technology, including those who need extra academic support. Struggling readers and writers are more confident when they receive materials that match their ability level and allow them to practice skills repeatedly in a low-pressure way. Students who previously avoided academic tasks are now more willing to participate, take risks, and celebrate their progress. The resources you provided have been essential in helping me set up a welcoming, engaging classroom where students feel excited to learn. We are using the materials daily during lessons, centers, and independent work time. One special moment was watching students eagerly rotate through learning stations, confidently using the new supplies to read, write, and explore together.\r\n\r\nWhen my student first saw the classroom with the resources, my students were so excited. Their faces lit up as they saw the books on the shelves, sensory tools, and classroom resources, and they couldn't wait to start using them. Many students immediately shared how much they loved the classroom and how it made them feel happy and ready to learn. Knowing that generous donors helped create this space made the experience even more meaningful for them.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, my students are now continuing to build strong foundational skills in reading, writing, and math in an environment designed to support their growth. Our next steps include using these resources for small-group instruction and hands-on projects that encourage curiosity, independence, and collaboration.
