Your donations not only helped the students in my classroom but extended to all the students in my school and students across our district and state of Nevada.\r\n The students absolutely love the rewards they are able to \"purchase\" in our student store by earning school money. The rewards motivated students to do their best, complete work on time, and make good choices throughout the school day.\r\n The students absolutely loved playing the Extra Extra board game. They laughed and worked together as a team to get the answers correct. They didn't even realize they were learning at the same time. They had so much fun. Students will be able to play this game for years to come which will greatly improve their reading comprehension and confidence. \r\n I very much appreciate all the fun prizes and activities we were able to receive from Donor's Choose. This has impacted students' ability to stay focused when asked to complete tasks that are hands-on activities. The resources I received will help motivate students and hopefully help to close the academic gaps of students.\r\n\r\nMany of the students at my school are students that are working below grade level. These blankets have become more than just a physical comfort—they have given students a sense of security, care, and belonging.\r\n\r\nWhen we first distributed the blankets, the excitement in the classroom was immediate. Some students wrapped themselves up right away, smiling from ear to ear, while others carefully folded them to take home and share with their families. One student even told me, \"Now I won't be cold when I do my homework at night!\" Moments like these show how much a thoughtful gift can brighten a child's day.\r\n\r\nIn the classroom, the blankets have also inspired discussions about gratitude, community, and helping others. We connected this experience to our current lessons on empathy and kindness, giving students a chance to reflect on how small acts of generosity make a big difference.\r\n\r\nYour support has given our students more than warmth—it has reminded them that there are people in the world who care about them. As we continue our school year, we will build on this lesson by encouraging students to think about ways they can share kindness with others in their community, helping the message of generosity grow.\r\n\r\nFrom the bottom of our hearts, thank you for giving our students this gift of comfort and care.","fullyFundedDate":1742823902683,"projectUrl":"project/blankets-for-low-income-students/8967598/","projectTitle":"Blankets for Low Income Students","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Farrar","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp4287360_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1487095104819","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/kirstenfarrar"},{"teacherId":308502,"projectId":9284659,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your donations!
