We use these materials during our center rotations, where students work in small groups on hands-on activities that match their learning levels. One of my favorite moments was watching a group of students who usually struggle with math fully engaged in a game, helping each other solve problems and celebrating when they got the answers right.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, my students were beyond excited. Their faces lit up as they explored the colorful games and tools, and they couldn't wait to start using them. What stood out most was how quickly they became confident and independent. The leveled games allow me to differentiate instruction easily, so every student feels challenged but not overwhelmed. One memorable moment wanting a relationship style stacking challenge where students worked together to compete the sequences. \r\n\r\nWhen students were first introduced to the materials they were so excited. Many had never seen or experienced cup stacking before so they were very curious and had lots of enthusiasm. They were very eager to try this new skill and got very competitive to see who was quicker and could improve their time the fastest. \r\n\r\nMoving forward we plan to building on these skills and incorporate more complex stacking. The next steps will continue to promise both physical and cognitive development while keeping students motivated and engaged. My small group has also benefitted from the above materials and the smiley face erasers.\r\n\r\nThanks to the 10-drawer rolling carts, the students have been able to become more organized and independent when turning in assessments. The carts have also allowed me to become more organized in my storage of papers to grade, and those that are ready to be handed back. Additionally, the privacy screens have allowed for all of us to be able to use them during testing periods. \r\n\r\nThe punch cards have made 'making good and respectful choices\" more motivating. The snack drawers are huge helps, with my students being able to access food quickly during the day, it cuts down on their classroom disruptions, helps keep them focused until lunch time and through the end of the day after lunch if needed, and gives some snacks for me to hand out as incentives for tests and good choices. It seems simple, but my students having their needs met makes a huge impact.\r\n\r\nWe've also been working on expressing ourselves with the aid of the hands- on materials, especially the Play-Doh and emotion mats that are used in conjunction with hit.
