Students are able to go and grab whiteboards or clipboards whenever they need to. This has given them the chance to show responsibility and ownership of their learning.\r\n The large whiteboard on wheels has been especially fun. If I have a group working on a special project, we can wheel it into the hall and I can have them do their learning using the board. It's not something students get to use every day so they get excited about it.\r\n My students and I thank you. Students have benefitted from new learning tools which most always excite them, and I have benefitted by not having to pay for these items out of pocket and being able to get even more creative with how I teach.","fullyFundedDate":1768770241042,"projectUrl":"project/kids-need-movement-these-supplies-will/10040081/","projectTitle":"Kids Need Movement - These Supplies Will Help","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Nicholes","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7923719"},{"teacherId":6284602,"projectId":10026650,"letterContent":"Thank you! Your generosity is greatly appreciated as it has helped make our class a more vibrant place. In addition to providing us with many new books (which we could not have afforded), your support helped create a better learning environment by giving me the tools to provide quality instruction.\r\n\r\nIn addition to enriching our literacy program, the diversity of culture reflected in the book selection allows my students to understand that there is more to the world than just our local community. The books are used to support our social studies lessons to explore and learn about family traditions, and how people live around the world. Not only do the books help build literacy skills, but they encourage an appreciation and understanding of other people's cultures, foster curiosity and promote respect for others.\r\n\r\nIndependent reading time is one of the highlights of each school day. My students enjoy independently reading books of interest at quiet times or sharing those same stories with classmates. Your thoughtful gift is laying the groundwork for a valued part of our classroom library for years to come. Again thank you for having a long-lasting positive effect on both my students' love of reading and academic experience.","fullyFundedDate":1768680078510,"projectUrl":"project/a-classroom-full-of-stories/10026650/","projectTitle":"A Classroom Full of Stories","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Poulsen","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6284602"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_83121","usesÐǿմ«Ã½":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":362,"numTeachers":24,"percentFrplEligible":67,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":62,"percentIndigenous":3,"percentLatinx":25,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"15.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_REMOTE"},"inStateSupporters":67.6,"schoolId":83121,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about David E Norman Elementary School on @Ðǿմ«Ã½:","schoolName":"David E Norman Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/nevada/white-pine-county-school-district/david-e-norman-elementary-school/83121"}
