Your investment has made an immediate and meaningful impact on student learning, engagement, and future opportunities.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, our students now have hands-on access to drone technology that many had only read about or seen online. These drones are being used in STEM coursework to explore real-world applications such as engineering design, coding, data collection, aerial imaging, and problem-solving. Students are not just learning how to fly drones—they are learning how technology, mathematics, and science intersect in careers that are shaping our future.\r\n\r\nOne moment that truly stood out occurred during our first student flight sessions. Students who are typically quiet in class were suddenly leading discussions, troubleshooting flight issues, and helping their peers adjust controls and plan flight paths. I watched students collaborate naturally—testing ideas, learning from mistakes, and celebrating successes together. Their excitement was contagious, and it was clear they felt trusted with meaningful, high-level tools.\r\n\r\nBeyond technical skills, this experience has helped students build confidence and curiosity. Many have already begun asking questions about FAA regulations, drone careers, and how this technology is used in fields like agriculture, public safety, filmmaking, and engineering. For some, this was the first time they could truly see themselves in a future STEM career.\r\n\r\nYour support has opened doors that will continue to benefit Edmond North students for years to come. My students immediately recognized that these resources were special and meant just for them, and their excitement was contagious. The very first day we used the new devices, I saw eyes light up, smiles spread across faces, and hands shoot into the air with questions. They could not wait to dive in and explore.\r\n\r\nThe technology has allowed me to deliver lessons in new ways and differentiate instruction to meet the needs of each student. For example, during independent work, students now have access to interactive texts that adjust to their reading level. This means that every child, from my most advanced readers to those who are still building confidence, is engaged and challenged appropriately. One student who often struggles with comprehension has found tremendous success seeing the quick demo during a quick mini lesson, which allow him to follow along more closely and truly understand what he is reading. Your support is not just a financial gift, it is an investment in the success, confidence, and future of my students.\r\n\r\nAs a high school Algebra I teacher, I see firsthand the difference that access to the right tools can make. Mathematics can be challenging for many students, but having a calculator readily available levels the playing field. It allows students to focus less on being held back by the lack of resources and more on truly understanding concepts, applying problem-solving skills, and building confidence in their abilities. For some students, this may be the first time they have had access to their own classroom calculator something that can completely transform their approach to learning and build their math confidence. \r\n\r\nYour generosity ensures that no student in my classroom will be at a disadvantage simply because they did not have the proper equipment. It means that every learner, regardless of background or financial situation, can participate fully in lessons, practice problems, and assessments without unnecessary stress or anxiety. This is especially impactful in a subject like math, where consistent practice and accuracy are essential to success.\r\n\r\nBeyond the numbers and equations, your donation sends an important message to my students: their education matters, and there are people outside of our school who believe in them. This reminder can be incredibly powerful, especially for students who may be navigating challenges outside the classroom. Knowing that someone they have never met is willing to invest in their learning can inspire them to work harder, aim higher, and believe more in their own potential.\r\n\r\nI also want you to know that your kindness has inspired me personally. Teaching is my passion, and I am committed to creating a classroom where students feel supported, encouraged, and equipped to succeed. Your donation reaffirms the importance of this mission and reminds me that I am not in this work alone. It is truly moving to see how our community both near and far can come together to make a tangible difference in the lives of young people.\r\n\r\nThroughout the school year, these calculators will be used daily during lessons, group work, individual practice, and assessments. They will help students prepare for state testing, develop real-world problem-solving skills, and build a strong foundation for future math courses. And each time a student picks up one of these calculators, I hope they are reminded that someone believed in them enough to provide it.\r\n\r\nOn behalf of myself and every student who will benefit from your generosity, thank you.
