The spiral binding allows pages to turn easily, lay flat, and stay open—features that significantly increase independence for students who struggle with motor coordination or visual fatigue. Simply being able to turn pages on their own has boosted confidence, engagement, and ownership during reading activities.\r\n\r\nThese durable books also allow us to tailor visual features—color, contrast, spacing, and simplicity—to support functional vision use. These adapted books help build early reading readiness skills in ways that were not possible before.\r\n\r\nYour donation is not just a gift of materials—it is a gift of access, independence, and joy in learning. In my district we are lucky enough to have devices for our students and many online learning tools to enhance our students' education. Headphones have allowed my students greater access to these platforms in terms of both listening and speaking. These headphones are vital tools for students as they engage in online practice and learning in math, literacy, science, and social studies. My students love getting to use their headphones to watch social studies and science videos on our curriculum platforms. They also like getting use them to listen to read alouds as we work on listening comprehension skills. And, when working on speaking, the microphones included on these headsets allow my students to speak clearly and with confidence as they work on communication skills. \r\n\r\nOverall, these headphones have, without a doubt, enhanced student learning and engagement so far this school year.
