I have a range of students who already love these books and were beyond excited to read through the series, or read the books they have missed. These students have now encouraged other students to start reading them. One student is so passionate about the One Piece books, he does not stop talking about them. His love for this series has encouraged other students who typically do not read Manga, or haven't heard of this series, to dive right in. \r\n\r\nI have students across ages and grade levels that are devouring these books. There are students who are not native English speakers that are pulling them off the shelves. I have students who were not checking out books coming to me every free minute they have to check out the next books in the series! \r\n\r\nI feel words do not do justice to the gratitude we feel here at East End Community School. The excitement for reading and trying new genres has been wonderful to watch. Everyone needs grit! (LOL) Seriously though, I got a rock tumbler for our unit of study on erosion. It was so awesome, but we didn't have enough grit. \r\n \r\n The grit has four phases and different properties to grind the rocks and polish them. Now, we have enough grit and will be polishing some real gemstones thanks to you and your generosity!\r\n \r\n The children have chosen a rock that has very sharp edges right now. The grit will smooth down the edges, speeding uop the process of erosion by 10,000 plus times. The final packet of grit will polish the stones. The kids are so excited to get their rocks out of the tumbler.
