During an incredibly challenging time in our community and schools, having something light, positive, and engaging to share with them has made a lasting impact. Providing moments of normalcy, connection, and joy during our time together has truly made a difference for many of my students.\r\n\r\nOne student in particular, who has faced significant adversity, has gained confidence through these books you helped provide. As he prepares for cochlear implant surgery, the stories have helped him feel more comfortable and at ease with what once felt intimidating. He is even beginning to feel excited about the new technology and the opportunities it will bring.\r\n\r\nYour generosity never ceases to amaze us. We are deeply grateful for every donation and for the care behind your support. Thank you for choosing our students and for making such a meaningful difference in their lives. That's what we're seeing. Even better, I have exciting new titles and crisp new books to hand hesitant students. One girl was head-down until I described \"Scythe\" to her. Now she's halfway done. Girls had been bugging me all year to get more copies of \"Shatter Me\" and restock the full series. They're tearing through them.\r\n\r\nTruly, there's no replacement for the right book to get a teenager hooked on something other than their phone.
