There were papers everywhere, even though they had tubs and some folders to keep them in. They obviously needed a 3 ring binder to keep everything in one place. Since getting the binders and pocket dividers there is less of a mess and work is not getting lost. The chair pouches allow them to have their material right there so there is less wandering around the room. The privacy folders have helped students focus on their work so there are no wandering eyes. The pencil sharpener has been a great gift since they had already broken two electric pencil sharpeners. Now we have a system for sharpening pencils so hopefully this electrical sharpener will last us till the end of the year or longer. \r\nThe students were really happy and grateful for all the supplies. They were really excited to use the three ring binders and the pocket dividers. They noticed how much cleaner and organized their desks and cubbies are. Now they are able to find their work and they are able to put things await much faster. \r\nWe thank you so much for investing in our classroom. It has made a great difference in our classroom environment and it has made the students happier.","fullyFundedDate":1768702411958,"projectUrl":"project/organized-and-prepared/10027844/","projectTitle":"Organized and Prepared","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Lopez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10405998"},{"teacherId":2465804,"projectId":10041741,"letterContent":"Teaching these super scientists have been so much fun! With your generous donation, we have become a lot more engaged with science because it is more hands on! We are finishing up our unit with our propagation experiment that shows what we have learned. We explored that plants have needs and with this knowledge, students have cut off a node and continued to observe what happens to these nodes; they continue to grow into a new plant!\r\n\r\nStudents have used markers and posters to draw what they have observed during this time and it helped us see what misconceptions and what they understand. As we continue on to the next science unit on Light and Sound, we will use many of these materials to explore and understand the concept of lights and sounds. These materials have helped students stay organized, become independent learners, and more excited about their learning. \r\n\r\nFrom the moment we saw the materials, we had so much excitement for learning! Thank you for all of your contributions. The rocking chair has been a wonderful addition to our classroom reading time as well as when we are doing our phonics program. Students love using the wooden number racks. They make learning math both addition and subtraction fun and exciting. This program is truly a blessing. I can't say enough how great it is take some of the financial burden off of teachers or being able to save class funds for field trips rather than supplies. With your donations, we are able to make space for students to work independently, have fun working in teams, and doing it in organized fashion. A zippered file folders help keep all of our students organized with their writing papers for each unit.\r\n\r\nI really enjoy our class books that go along with each theme. With the bookshelves you have provided, it makes it so much easier for us to stay organized with the amount of books that go with each unit. This ensures that we don't miss a fun read aloud or that goes with our English language arts unit as well as science units.\r\n\r\nI really appreciate you investing in our class so we can maximize an amount of space, time and learning time due to the things you have helped us purchase. It is greatly appreciated by myself and my students. They enjoy having a new variety of inclusive, culturally, diverse, self accepting, and challenging books to read in the class library. My students challenge themselves with the books that came due to your generosity. They encourage each other to read, and it is one of their favorite parts of the day. They love exploring, new genres and types of books. You have opened a world of new readings, new challenges, and new beginnings for these students. Thank you so much for your donation and thought and contributing to help the students become successful and excellent readers. This has built on the standards of students being able to read, retail, key details, write about their readings, and increase their speaking and listening skills as they enjoy reading these new and varied books.
