It's sometimes difficult to navigate the very specific, and possibly dangerous, allergies my students have. Nut allergies to me though are of the highest concern, especially with having multiple students this year that are allergic. \r\n These snacks were well received by the class and especially by the students whom I had in mind when ordering. Each time we got a package I waited to open it with the kids, they clapped and cheered at each new item. This class LOVES fruit, and I feel like all kids love cookies, so I'm not surprised they chose these types of things to put on the wish list. \r\n When looking at the ingredients of the cookies and animal crackers its clear no nuts or tree nuts are involved so I can feel confident these items are worry-free for my kids. Thank you so, so much for making my concerns important to you. Luckily we had enough supplies for everyone to use something new at the same time. They love drawing with the differently shaped crayons and they always choose to write and draw with the rainbow colored dry erase markers. \r\n Being able to move the dry erase circles from table to table has been great for small group and individual work time! What an exciting project to have gotten funded. It's safe to say THIS was a favorite of my students to receive. So far the most chosen items from the treasure box have been the galaxy slime, the bouncy balls and the stretchy, bendable men.\r\n While some of the scented play dough went into the treasure box I kept enough in the classroom to use during reading and math time. The students love to use the dough to make numbers and letters and are beginning to use dough stampers to stamp out sight words and their names! \r\n I personally love the pull back cars. We do a unit in science in the spring entitled \"Push, Pull and Go.\" I plan on using some of those cars to run races in class as a really fun culmination of that unit. \r\n Thank you SO much for funding this amazing project. My goal is to get children to want to come to school and to try their best. It allows the students to be more independent in that way. \r\n The ziplocs were also put to good use as each child will have one to house their decodable reading books.
