It took the lives of 2,975 people in Puerto Rico specifically. As climate change gets worse, so do hurricanes. Climate change is the long-term effect of temperature. It causes temperatures to become hotter and it causes extreme weather. A direct effect of Climate change is extreme hurricanes like Hurricane Maria. Climate change is ruining people's lives whether you're blind to it or not. Although this hurricane happened 7 years ago, it continues to negatively affect Puerto Ricans.
