Although we have rescheduled the start of our live virtual exchange with Senegal to the spring semester, having this technology installed now has been invaluable for our preparation. We are currently using the equipment to record high-quality video introductions and practice \"mock\" calls. This allows students to get comfortable with the setup, ensuring that when we do go live, the focus remains on cultural connection rather than technical troubleshooting.\r\n\r\nThe students are incredibly excited about the professional quality of the new product. In our practice sessions, they have noticed that the crystal-clear audio allows them to hear the subtleties of their own French pronunciation when we play back recordings, acting as a mirror for their language skills. The high-definition video is also a major morale booster; they know that when they finally meet their partners, they will be seen clearly, which adds a level of professionalism and seriousness to the project that a grainy laptop camera simply couldn't provide.\r\n\r\nI have already seen a shift in students who are typically hesitant to speak in front of the class. Knowing that we have the spring semester to practice with this top-tier equipment has lowered the stakes and raised confidence. One student, who is usually quite shy, has taken the lead on testing the camera angles and recording our first \"Welcome to America\" video message. The new French Club materials are keeping their cultural curiosity high in the meantime, and thanks to your donation, we will be perfectly poised to hit the ground running for a transformative experience this spring.","fullyFundedDate":1758293613274,"projectUrl":"project/working-across-borders-and-celebrating-f/9575751/","projectTitle":"Working Across Borders and Celebrating Francophone Cultures","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Trenton","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8041801_orig.png?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1631304463691","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8041801"},{"teacherId":9886288,"projectId":9027302,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for the generous donation to my classroom. Having an additional 10 calculators has given my students the opportunity understand the problems we are completing on a daily basis. On a daily basis having these extra calculators is helping about 40-50 students every day! \r\nThe organizational baskets is allowing me to organize papers with ease t be able to return to students in a timely manner.
