Currently, my students are using the new seats to form \"Book Club Circles.\" Instead of being separated by heavy desks, they are able to pull their floor rockers and cushions into a close circle, creating an intimate space where they feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and debating plot points. It has made our collaborative work feel much more natural and focused.\r\n\r\nThe initial reaction:\r\nI wish you could have been there when the boxes first arrived! When my students saw the new seating, there were literal cheers and gasps. One of my students exclaimed, \"It feels like a real office for kids!\" They were so eager to try everything out that we spent the first twenty minutes of the day doing a \"seating rotation\" so everyone could test each option. The sheer excitement boosted the morale of the entire class; they truly felt like someone out there cared enough about their comfort to send these beautiful gifts.\r\n\r\nNext steps for our learning:\r\nLooking ahead, these seats will be vital as we begin our \"Young Authors\" project.
