We've been talking about what it means to be a \"graduate\" and practicing our ceremony for the big day. One of my favorite moments was seeing my students line up and pretend to walk across the stage wearing their gowns. They were beaming with pride, cheering for each other, and imagining themselves as real graduates. It was a powerful moment that showed me how much this milestone means to them and how much they are ready to celebrate their growth and accomplishments.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the graduation gowns, their faces lit up with pure excitement. They couldn't wait to try them on, spin around, and see themselves as graduates. Even the shyest students were eager to participate, and it was incredible to watch them experience such joy and pride. The gowns turned a simple conversation about graduating into a tangible, magical moment that they will remember for years to come.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, students will continue practicing for their graduation ceremony and preparing to share their accomplishments with family and friends. They will wear their gowns as they receive their diplomas, walk across the stage, and celebrate all the learning, growth, and milestones they have achieved this year. Your support is making this special day possible, giving my students a real sense of pride and accomplishment. The stories also build empathy by introducing my class to different cultures and life experiences which helps them become more thoughtful global citizens.\r\n\r\nReading is now the most active part of our day. Instead of everyone sitting in rows at hard tables our room is full of choice. You will see students hiking on the walking pad while reading a mystery others curled up in flexible seating with a graphic novel and some standing at the desk to work. This movement helps their brains stay turned on and makes reading feel like a treat rather than a chore.\r\n\r\nThe biggest change is for my students who have a hard time sitting still. For example one of my students who used to struggle to read for even five minutes can now walk on the pad and stay focused on a book for twenty minutes straight. The movement quiets his body so his mind can work. My quieter readers are also flourishing because they love having cozy spots where they feel safe and comfortable enough to get lost in a great book.","fullyFundedDate":1768047875964,"projectUrl":"project/move-sit-read-a-literacy-space-for-ev/9988683/","projectTitle":"Move, Sit, Read: A Literacy Space for Every Learner","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Mittelstadt","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8156461"},{"teacherId":7294835,"projectId":9988832,"letterContent":"I am writing to express my deepest and most sincere gratitude for your incredibly generous support of the \"Make Learning Fun\" Project. Your commitment to education and your willingness to invest in the potential of our students have profoundly impacted our classroom environment. By sponsoring the purchase of high-quality educational games, you have provided us with more than just physical materials; you have gifted our team the ability to transform the way our students engage with complex concepts. It is rare to find partners who understand so clearly that the spark of curiosity is often best lit through play and collaborative discovery. Because of your kindness, our students now have access to a suite of tools that make the rigorous process of \"expanding their minds\" an adventure rather than a chore. We were overjoyed to unbox these resources, and the immediate excitement from the team and the children was a testament to the importance of your contribution. Thank you for recognizing that learning is a lifelong journey that should be paved with joy and innovation.\r\nThe educational games you provided are already making a tangible difference in our daily curriculum, allowing us to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical, critical thinking. In an age where digital distractions are everywhere, these tactile and strategic games encourage our students to sit face-to-face, negotiate, strategize, and solve problems in real-time. My team and I have observed students who previously struggled with engagement now leading their peers through complex game mechanics that mirror real-world logic and mathematical reasoning. These resources allow for a differentiated approach to learning, ensuring that every child, regardless of their starting point, finds a way to contribute and succeed. We are watching their confidence grow as they master new challenges, and that confidence is beginning to bleed into their traditional academic work. Your sponsorship has effectively broken down the walls of the \"standard\" classroom and replaced them with a dynamic laboratory of exploration where making a mistake is simply part of the game and a step toward a solution.\r\nLooking ahead, the \"Make Learning Fun\" Project is set to leave a lasting legacy on our educational program, and we owe that entire trajectory to your belief in our vision. These games will be used by hundreds of students over the coming years, serving as a cornerstone of our efforts to foster a culture of intellectual bravery and teamwork. By supporting this initiative, you have sent a powerful message to our staff and our students: that their growth is valued by the community and that learning is a pursuit worth celebrating. We are committed to being excellent stewards of your gift, ensuring these resources are integrated thoughtfully into our lessons to maximize their impact. On behalf of my entire team and the many students whose minds are expanding every day because of your generosity, thank you for being the catalysts for this change. You have truly helped us put the \"fun\" back into the fundamental building blocks of education, and we are honored to have you as part of our journey.","fullyFundedDate":1768048038612,"projectUrl":"project/make-learning-fun/9988832/","projectTitle":"Make Learning Fun","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Earven","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7294835"},{"teacherId":8118814,"projectId":10013027,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donation of holiday pencils, folders, white boards, and desk name tags for the classroom.
